You asked me "why"
I said "I don't know"
I saw colors in your eyes that pictures out your mind.
I said "don't go"
You said "I'll stay"
Pride empties my soul
You take it over.

Sweetness in my blood went out my lips.
Fear dissolves but it persists
Pain's overshadowed, drained teardrops.

I know this once in a lifetime of chance
With your arms around me
I won't slip it away because you're my dwelling
Like endless horizon.
