Summer Affiliation: the ending =))

Kakatapos lang ng affiliation namin... Graveh!! nakakaenjoy.. Dami kong natutunan, hindi lang related sa studies ko but in my life as well. Six weeks din ang tinagal ng Summer Affiliation. Na-assign kami sa iba't ibang tertiary hospitals like San Lazaro Hospital, National Children's Hospital, National Center for Mental Health and Philippine Orthopedic Center. First week namin is Eastern Bicol Medical Center. Syempre, iyon ang affiliating hospital namin kaya walang masyadong bago. Parang warm up lang ginawa namin para the second week which is in Manila, wala na kaming hangover ng holy week vacation. Si Sir Romero naging clinical instructor(CI) namin. Ayun sa pediatric ward kami naasign, we did reporting, projects and hindi mawawala ang evaluation exam. Haha! After this one-week warm up, lumuwas na kami ng Manila to feel better environment (talaga lang huh?). Well... syempre mas enhanced and developed ang hospitals na pinuntahan namin. Plus the tours that gave color to our vacation.hehe! We've been in La Mesa Eco park, PBB house, Enchanted Kingdom, FOrt Santiago, Intramuros, Casa Manila, and alot more. Then, in our second hospital which was San Lazaro HOspital, nag-enjoy kami sa mga nakakahawang sakit. Naging paranoid tuloy kami. With Maam Buena as our CI, talagang favorite ko nga si Maam eh. Then, the third hospital is NCH. THat was the super boring hospital. Wala kaming ginawa kudi tumambay but in our last day, ayos sana iyong built-in CI kaso nagkanegative impression sa amin kaya ayun natripan. Haiz! Anyways before naman matapos iyong shift, nagkaunawaan naman. Here comes the POC, ang ospital ng mga bones.haha! Ayos naman ang stay namin, lalo na yung tiangge (hehe). Si Maam Beth SI namin. We've just toured around. Nag-hands on din naman kami pero konting oras langl. Then, our fifth week was in Mandaluyong, in NCMH. Dito na naman tayo sa walang katapusang, self awareness, gastusan. OT, ET, RT, at ang grand socialization. Ito ang pinakamagastos na ward pero nurses are resourceful daw kaya ayun nagtipid kami.haha! Pero nag-enjoy naman kami especially during our physical tour when we've been in BOracay ward.haha! Kidding aside, gaya ng sabi ko, magastos na matrabaho pa but when you hear people you showed care saying "salamat huh?", it feels like wow! may HALO na ako...hehe. But it's true... marerealize mo talaga na life really is precious. I admired them kasi in years na tinagal nila sa mental hospital na nakakulong, they really appreciate even the small things you give to them. haaayy... Anyways, pag naalala naman namin na nabubutas na bulsa namin, we're turning back into reality.haha! Then, on our sixth week, balik ulet kmi sa NCH, ewan ko ba kung bakit sa dinami-daming ospital dun pa (charing). Eh kasi naman, dahil dun sa nangyari samin few weeks ago s NCH, sinong di maoonos. Well, buti nalang hindi na built-in humawak samin, it's Maam ALma. Ang CI naming small but terrible lalo when it comes to boys (sori maam) hehe... Super thankful nga ako kay maam eh, kung hindi dahil sa kanya wala kaming picture ni Mr. Dave ng MaDoc's =)). And talagang super bait ni maam, mataas nga lang talaga ang level ng anxiety minsan kaya nahahawa tuloy kami.hehe! Pero, That was the most fruitful week, kasi dami naming naatend na seminars and symposium like dialysis, cervical ccancer. etc. And, yun nga, nakilala ko si Mr. Team Leader..haha. (joke).
Nalalalungkot mang isipin pero kelangan naming bumalik ng Catanduanes ang magpakabulok na naman sa EBMC, hehe!

And yun na nga, that was my unforgettable affiliation...

Ayy.. Si Manang Fely pa pala. I wanna acknowledge her for being hospitable and accomodating. (Nakz! totoo ba yun?=))

Of all the things I learned in this affiliation, there's one thing I treasure the most.

It's:
